Scientific Award
The Ipê Scientific Award of the International Symposium on Environment was designed to encourage the dissemination of scientific research in the Environmental area. Its objective is to give visibility, increase the dissemination and reward the works of greater relevance presented at the symposium, contemplating the following thematic axes: (1) SOILS AND ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY, (2) AGRICULTURE AND WATER RESOURCES, (3) WATER RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION and (4) ENVIRONMENT.
All works submitted and presented at the International Symposium on Environment will compete for the Scientific Award according to the following categories: 1) Abstract / Poster, 2) Abstract / Oral communication, 3) Paper / Poster, 4) Paper / Oral communication.
Evaluation criteria
The Evaluation Committee of the Ipê Scientific Award will evaluate the works in two phases:
Phase 1: Evaluation of written works according to the following criteria: 1) objectivity, clarity and written presentation of the work (0-10 points), 2) Relevance of the theoretical framework and adequacy of the methodology to the objectives (0-10 points), 3) Relevance of the work theme for the development of the area and for society (0-10 points).
Phase 2: Evaluation of the presentations in the poster or oral sessions. The criteria considered for evaluation of this phase are: 1) Domain of content; is not restricted to reading the slides (0-10 points), 2) Presentation sequence and layout of the slides: grammatical correction, no excess text, adequate font size, contrast of the letters with the background (0-10 points), 3) Make good use of the time established for the presentation: 10 minutes (0-10 points).
The final grade of the work will be the arithmetic mean of the evaluators' grades in each phase. The Ipê Scientific Award Evaluation Committee will be composed of professors from the graduate program on Environment and Regional Development of the University of Western São Paulo (UNOESTE). The decisions of the Evaluation Committee shall be sovereign.
Awards
The awards and honorable mentions will be awarded to the three best works of each of the four categories (1) Abstract / Poster, 2) Abstract / Oral communication, 3) Paper / Poster, 4) Paper / Oral communication), as follows:
1st Place: an honorable mention and prize.
2nd Place: an honorable mention.
3rd Place: an honorable mention.
